Investing in your self-confidence is one of the best investments you can make. Dental veneers can achieve your goal of having a stunning smile. With a beautiful smile, you’ll be more confident and approachable. Dental veneers are perfect for camouflaging unsightly stains and other issues.
The cost of porcelain veneers can vary significantly, primarily influenced by the number of veneers you need. Opting for a single veneer naturally costs less compared to obtaining a full set, which represents a more substantial investment. However, the total cost is also affected by various factors, including the patient’s specific requirements. Despite these variables, investing in porcelain veneers is considered a worthwhile investment in improving one’s smile.
Porcelain veneers are so thin you can almost see through them before the dentist bonds them to the front of your teeth. Once the veneers are in place, no one can tell they’re not your natural teeth unless you tell them.
Your porcelain veneers are custom-made to fit your teeth’ shape and natural color. Veneers can improve nearly every aspect of a tooth, including length and size.
Veneers are more commonly known for covering stained or discolored teeth, but they can also be used to hide other unsightly dental issues. For example, veneers can address:
This patient had disproportionately larger front teeth and gaps along all 6 upper front teeth. Veneers help to reshape teeth to the correct proportions as well as help close spaces. A total of 8 veneers were done on the uppers to get the perfect smile. He later said we “Changed his life!!”
This patient wanted to straighten his front teeth and close the small open bite that he had. A set of 6 veneers were done for the front teeth to straighten and close the front open bite. Group function/guidance was kept in this case. The results were incredible and imperceivable from natural teeth.
This patient case was a combination of Orthodontics, Implants, and finally Veneers and Implant crowns. Orthodontics was used to create the natural space of two missing front teeth. Two implants were placed at the time orthodontics finished. And finally, porcelain restorations (veneers and crowns) were done to complete the smile. The patient said “This was the smile he always dreamed of”
In this case, my patient knew his smile needed improvement. As he described it, his teeth left a gap when he smiled. Overall, his teeth were somewhat short, and they tilted inward. With minimal preparations, I added veneers that lengthened his front 8 teeth to the correct height/width and proclined them to remove the ‘inward’ look.
Once veneers are applied to your teeth, they are not reversible. The reason is that preparing your teeth for veneers requires removing a very small layer of tooth enamel, so the veneers fit and adhere properly.
While most people are good candidates for veneers, patients must have healthy teeth and gums. If a patient needs gum disease treatment or other dental work, the dentist will need to address that before veneers can be considered.
Once your veneers are in place, you can enjoy most of your favorite foods and beverages. The only limitation is hard foods such as hard candies and ice. You will also need to avoid chewing on any hard object.
Besides good oral hygiene, porcelain veneers don’t require much special care. People with veneers need to continue brushing twice a day and flossing at least once a day. Also, avoiding foods and beverages that stain teeth will help your veneers stay beautiful for longer.
