What are the orthodontic treatment options available at our office?

We understand patients’ needs vary when it comes to orthodontic care. We offer traditional braces and Invisalign to cater to different patients’ needs. Traditional braces use metal wires and brackets to shift teeth into the intended positions gradually. On the other hand, Invisalign uses removable and minimally invisible plastic molds to shift teeth. Both methods effectively correct overcrowding, gapped teeth, and several malocclusion cases.

What are the benefits of orthodontics treatment?

Teeth straightening offers numerous functional and cosmetic benefits. Many patients align teeth to improve their appearance. However, a straight smile provides several benefits to your oral health. Sagittal First Orthodontics Case #3

This patient presented with a prominent overbite and a retruded bite (Class II) of approximately 4mm. Instead of multiple months of wearing rubber bands and trying to correct the overbite and retruded bite, I opted for Motion 3D appliances , also known as Carriere Class II Appliances (see progress pic), which took only 3 months to correct the bite. Motion 3D appliances also allow us to move forward without having to consider extractions to correct the bite. This patient achieved a Class I bite and an ideal overbite in approximately 11 months.

Orthodontics Case #2

This common occurrence of a canine that did not fully erupt, what some mistakenly call an ‘Impacted canine” is easily treated with Orthodontics. Sometimes, the canine does not erupt out of the gums, and Orthodontics deals with that as well.

Combination Case of Orthodontics, Implants & Veneers

This patient case was a combination of Orthodontics, Implants, and finally Veneers and Implant crowns. Orthodontics was used to create the natural space of two missing front teeth. Two implants were placed at the time orthodontics finished. And finally, porcelain restorations (veneers and crowns) were done to complete the smile. The patient said “This was the smile he always dreamed of”

What age is appropriate for orthodontic care?

All children should receive orthodontic evaluation by age seven, but they shouldn’t start orthodontic treatment until permanent teeth have erupted. Most children receive braces around the age of 10-14. However, do you know your child can undergo orthodontic care even before permanent teeth erupt? Interceptive orthodontics prevents or minimizes more severe orthodontic problems that may develop as the child grows.

Orthodontic treatments aren’t just limited to children and teens — adults can also benefit from this treatment. Adults can opt for traditional braces, although many prefer Invisalign because it’s discreet and convenient. 

How long does orthodontic treatment require?

The treatment time depends on the complexity of the case and the orthodontic treatment used. Mild cases require a few months, but complex ones can last two or more years. We’ll provide a more accurate estimate after assessing your case.
